Our work includes renovations, decks, docks, shoreline construction, framing, and structural repairs. Every project brings different challenges and opportunities to develop your skills.

Small crew by design
Woodlands Carpentry is intentionally a small company. Working with a smaller crew gives employees the opportunity to take part in different stages of a project, develop their skills and earn greater responsibility as they gain experience.
You’ll work alongside other crew members, learn through hands-on experience and see projects through from planning to completion.

Cottage and rural carpentry isn’t always straightforward. Our work takes us to various properties throughout Kenora and Lake of the Woods, each with its own challenges. Some projects involve boat travel, difficult access, working outdoors in changing weather, or repairing older structures where unexpected problems can arise. No two jobs are exactly alike. You need to be comfortable adapting to changing conditions, solving problems, and working as part of a small crew.

Transportation & Licensing
Our projects are spread throughout Kenora and Lake of the Woods. Applicants should have a valid Class G driver’s licence and reliable transportation, or be actively working toward obtaining them. Reliable transportation to assigned job sites or designated meeting locations is essential.
Understanding the Nature of Our Work
Construction in Northwestern Ontario is seasonal. Weather, site access, material availability, and project schedules can change throughout the year. Some jobs involve early starts, boat travel, or work in remote locations. We need people who understand these realities and can adapt when conditions change.
